3D Printing in Orthodontics
One of the coolest things happening right now in Orthodontics is 3D Printing.
Above is our 3D Printer, Juell 3D-2. We use this to print models to make Clear Aligner trays. We first have an Intra-Oral 3D scanner which replicate the teeth without having to take a messy impression. Once we have taken the 3D scan we then use a software program to move the teeth to where we want them and that’s when we print them onto our 3D printer. Once done printing we have what looks like a model of the patient’s teeth and are able to then fabricate the aligners right over that.
“Clearly Not Braces”
Here at Frank Batastini Orthodontics we have our own Clear Aligner Therapy brand called Clearly Not Braces. This is a breakthrough in technology that we are really excited about and are looking forward to continuing to utilize in our office.
